The CEO authorities must be specified before new cabinet being formed

Satar Murad, member of the commission assigned to work on formation of the new cabinet revealed that the Chief Executive Officer does not have the required executive and administrative authorities needed as yet.

He added,” We do not have any improvements regarding the formation of the new cabinet so far.”

The political agreement signed between the two leading candidates is base of the National Unity Government.

The new cabinet formation is also tied with the political agreement that impel the President and the Chief Executive Officer to share the key security and economic positions equally. It has also been said that both Ghani and Abdullah interpret the Agreement articles diversely.

Murad, introduced by Abdullah to the committee saying,” Abdullah is demanding a 50-50 percent power sharing while Ghani refuse to do so.” The Presidential Office and the CEO deny commenting on the statements being made.

These statements come after a number of MPs and citizens urged that the new ministers should get their vote of confidence before the London Summit and the presidential office promised to introduce the new cabinet to Wolesi Jirga soon.
