Turkish Election Ended with Victory of Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party, the AKP won an absolute majority in parliament in Sunday’s general election, ending a five-month political stalemate and defying the opinion polls.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has won more than 49 percent of the vote to secure 315 seats in the 550-member parliament with nearly all votes counted.

The main opposition party has expressed unsatisfactory by having 25 percent votes results.

 Republican people’s party (CHP) leader, KEMAL KILICDAROGLU told to Turkey “Our citizens should not be concerned. It will be our main duty to monitor the ruling party’s implementations, the laws they will make. We will continue to fulfill the duty of the opposition party.”

Turkish Prime Minister AHMET DAVUTOGLU said,”We will save Turkey from all kinds of clashes and tension. I want all our supporters who took their stand at the ballot boxes to be at ease.”

He also added Today is a victory for our democracy and our people, Hopefully we will serve you well for the next four years and stand in front of you once again in 2019.

Turkish PM DAVUTOGLU said,” I’m calling on all parties entering parliament to form a new civilian national constitution for the sake of a reliable electoral system, a transparent government and politics without bureaucracy. Let’s work together for a civilian, liberal constitution and change the post-coup constitution.”

AKP after 13 years leadership in Turkey has lost the majority of its votes in Parliamentary Election in June 2015 , cease fire has been enforced, chaos created within the Government body, Syria war badly affected Turkey affairs, and even in the past months Turkey has witnessed two suicide attacks which has been carried out by the Islamist militants which killed and injured hundreds.
