Twelve Afghan citizens are among those who were killed in explosions at a ceremony in Iran’s Kerman city on Wednesday to commemorate commander Qassem Soleimani, Tasnim news agency reported.

Nearly 100 people were killed and 284 others were injured in the attack that was claimed by Daesh.

Meisam Mahdipour, the deputy special representative of Iran for Afghanistan, said that the Muslim people of Afghanistan have fought against Daesh both in Syria and Iraq and now in Afghanistan. He added that Daesh is created by the United States and the Zionists, and it has been trained to target the Muslim nations against the infamous regime.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Interior Minister Ahmad Waheedi has said that it will close border points with Afghanistan and Pakistan that are vulnerable and are misused.
