Two Suspects Arrested For Selling Horse Meat in Khost

Two men have been arrested for the alleged sale of horse meat in Khost province of Afghanistan.

In a statement released on Thursday, the office of provincial police chief said that two men were arrested in accusation of butchering and selling horse meat in Khost city.

The men were secretly butchering the horses and wanted to sell their meat in the market to the local residents.

Meanwhile, three other suspects have managed to escape from the slaughterhouse, the statement added.

The two men are in police custody for further investigation.
