U.S. Ambassador to Kabul Demands Afghans to Seriously Fight Against Corruption

The United States ambassador to Kabul called on Afghan government and people to seriously fight against corruption.

U.S. ambassador Hugo Llorens calls elimination of corruption the only way for victory and security in Afghanistan.

Ambassador Hugo Llorens said, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with you. Do not allow corruption prevent futures’ improvements. let us continue to work together, paving the way for a prospers and secure Afghanistan.”

Hugo Llorens said a good leadership is essential in army and the existence of incompetent leaders cause causalities.

“Good leadership is critical to the success of any military. Corrupted and incompetent leaders, specially on the battle field can resulted high needless causalities. I am pleased the National Unity Government led by President Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah have created an appointments mechanism design to ensure that only the most capable commanders lead the young men and women of the ANDSF.”

 This comes as the existence of corruption in security institutions has always been criticized and recently a number of security officials dismissed after the Balkh base attack.
