Unknown Gunmen Kill Civil Society Activist in Nangarhar

The incident took place on Monday morning, near provincial governor’s office and police stations in the city.
The victim Haroon was a member of National Unity Association and the head of youth department in Khewa district of the province.
The provincial police Spokesman, Hazrat Hussian Mashriqiwal said that an investigation was launched, following the incident.
Local officials said the activist was killed because of having personal enmity; however, the Deputy Head of National Unity Association, Abdul Rahman rejected the claims, and considered the case more of a political assassination.
