Upcoming Parliamentary Election Security Will be Maintained: MoI

Officials in Ministry of Interior Affairs have said full preparation has been taken to ensure security for the upcoming parliamentary Election next year, amid Election watchdogs have insisted the Government should stop wasting of times.

Herewith lawyers have also urged that the Government should consider the illegal activities of the Lower house of the parliament.

Chief of Civilian Police Homayon Ayni said,” Ensuring security for the safety and security of the people is our duty, we will push through to maintain security for upcoming Parliamentary Election, We need to draw the people support by focusing on their security issues that means we need to be with people all the time.”

Member of the selection committee of commissioners Yousuf Rashid said,” Work will be done no matter when the Parliamentary Election will be held next year, Government of Afghanistan should fully consider on maintaining security for the Election, no need wasting of time.”

Lawyers have believed that Government of Afghanistan isn’t interested to hold the upcoming parliamentary Election, because no significant work has been done.

Head of the Lawyer Union of Afghanistan Abdul Ghayoor Ghayoor said,” The current Afghanistan parliament has been working illegally since two years, the Government should end this and they Governmental officials should stick into Political memorandum of understanding.”

Earlier officials in Presidential palace had talked about holding of the parliamentary and district council Election next year.

National Unity Government leaders have failed to hold the parliamentary Election in the past two years, where it was one of the responsibilities of the Government.
