US special envoy for Afghanistan meets Pakistani officials

US Special Representative on Afghanistan Thomas West met with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani on Thursday.
Pakistan’s foreign ministry said that during the meeting, Jilani underscored the importance of collective approaches to promote prosperity and development for the people of Afghanistan.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to work with international partners to this end, spokesperson of Pakistan’s foreign ministry said on X.
West separately met with Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Asif Durrani, on Thursday.
“We touched upon various issues in Afghanistan and the international response to it. Both sides emphasised more coordination and cooperation,” Durrani said on X.
