USAID announces award of women’s improvement program for Afghanistan

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on late Thursday announced the award of a major women’s empowerment program for Afghanistan.
In a statement from USAID said Promoting Gender Equity in National Priority Programs seeks to advance opportunities for thousands of Afghan women to help them become leaders in the political, private, and civil society sectors.
USAID will provide $ 216 million dollars to promote these programs over the five year program that will help Afghan women become leaders in their fields.
