Uzbekistan Keen to Invest in Afghanistan’s Infrastructure

The Afghanistan President’s special envoy for middle Asia Shaker Kargar said Uzbekistan is keen to invest in Afghanistan’s infrastructure on energy, Agriculture and rebuilding of Salang pass.

Meanwhile officials in chamber of commerce and industry have expressed optimism over the investments of the Uzbekistan in the country.

President special envoy for middle Asia Shaker Kargar said, “ Uzbekistan is interested to invest on rebuilding of salang pass, Agriculture sector, power dams, excavation of mines, and fuel in Afghanistan, achieving the goals will provide thousand jobs opportunities for Afghan countrymen.”

However officials in chamber of commerce and industry said though ties between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan was not good, still we support the investments of Uzbekistan in the country.

Chamber of commerce and industry Spokesman Saiyam Persarlia said, “Our mutual ties matters, the more investment is launched the more we support, we believe in if projects are granted, they will implemented with standard.”

After Brussels summit Afghan National Unity Government leaders are launching efforts to have close ties with all the countries for boosting economy especially with Uzbekistan.
