We Are Compelled To Talk Peace with Taliban: President Ghani
Afghanistan is compelled to enter peace negotiations with the political oppositions (Taliban), otherwise obtaining peace in Afghanistan is not an easy task, says President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani.
After his China tour, President Ghani in a press conference Saturday in Kabul once again called the Taliban as the political oppositions, saying efforts would underway for peace negotiations with the political oppositions.
“Obtaining peace is not easy but is obligatory,” President Ghani said. “If it was an easy tasks, it would be achieved in the past.”
He expressed that the level of cooperation of Pakistan with Afghanistan would be determined in near future.
“Some Pakistani high-rank government officials have already come to Afghanistan and some others may come these days and I may also visit the country in near future.”
He warned he would never permit Afghanistan’s soil be used against any other country.
He hoped the coming meeting of Heart of Asia member countries would pave ground for peace negotiations with the oppositions.
