7 Killed As Taliban-fired Mortar Hit Residential House In Baghlan
The incident took place in Baghlan-e Markazi district on Sunday morning.
Local government official said the victims of the incident are all members of the same family.
District governor Gawhar Khan Baburi said, a mortar fired by the Taliban militants this morning landed on a residential house which killed a mother with her six children.
Baburi added, another minor girl was also wounded in the attack, but did not say anything about her health condition.
The Taliban militants group in Afghanistan has not commented regarding the report so far.
Baghlan is among the volatile provinces in north of Afghanistan where the anti-government Taliban militants are actively operating in a number of its districts.
