Afghan Forces Thwarted Deadly Car Bomb Plot in Kabul City

Afghan security forces have thwarted a deadly car-bombing plot in Kabul City, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Sunday.
The statement said that the police forces in Logar on Saturday evening arrested a would-be suicide bomber along with explosives-packed vehicle during an operation in Tangi Wakhjan area of the province.
The statement added that the would-be suicide bomber was on his way to Kabul but was stopped and arrested by the security forces in the vicinity of Logar province.
The Ministry also noted that the suicide bomber was aiming to carry out a terrorist attack in Kabul city.
The MoI statement, however, did not elaborate on the main target of the bomber.
