Afghanistan will participate in Warsaw Summit in Poland with full preparations, and has prepared a special plan for the meeting, Afghanistan National Security Advisor Hanif Atmar said on Monday.

The Summit will be held on 8-9 July in Warsaw, Poland where the NATO members and Resolute Support mission members that have military forces in Afghanistan will take part in this meeting.

Speaking to the reporters in a press conference Atmar said Afghanistan will have six specific expectations to be met in this meeting where his country will complain against Pakistan too.

First Afghan government expects NATO to financially support Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) for the upcoming five years, he said.

Second, Afghanistan expects NATO to support Afghan Air Forces (AAF) to go towards self reliance.

The third, fourth and fifth expectations are included the ANSF equip and train, providing long-term support to Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism.

According to Atmar the last expectation of Afghanistan in this summit from NATO is to take a strict stance against terrorism and its supporters.

“terrorism and the war is not internal, but it is international, so we expect NATO to take a strict stance against terrorism and its supporters,” he concluded.

The United States and NATO members have agreed to support the Afghan security forces till 2020 and would reaffirm its commitment to Afghanistan in this summit.
