“Afghanistan’s New National Front” announces existence
The Afghanistan New National Front, composed of political parties, a number of parliament members, former ministers and other characters announced its existence as political opposition party of the government in Kabul on Thursday.
The newly-launched party, led by Anwarul Haq Ahadi, former cabinet minister started its activity with criticizing the National Unity Government.
The members of Afghanistan’s New National Front criticize the current government with weak legitimacy and limited capacity; saying they are not looking for overthrowing the government but demand for holding an earlier election.
“We are not thinking about the construction of this government. The legal changes can only save this government,” said Anwarul Haq Ahadi, chairman of the Afghanistan’s New National Front.
Supporting the Peace process in the country, the new party is said to consider the current government failed to provide peace for the country.
“Our slogan is peace. We support the peace process but a peace that equals with principles. We call on the armed oppositions of the government to begin a political competition for achieving their goals,” added Ahadi.
This comes as that the National Unity Government has not reacted against the Afghanistan New National Front so far.
