ANA pledges to suppress Taliban in Yemgan, retake district
Afghan military officials pledge to suppress Taliban insurgents in Yemgan district of Badakhshan province.
Afghanistan National Army, Kabul Military Training Center (KMTC) graduated more than 500 officers to join the battlefields against terrorists.
Aminullah Patyanai, KMTC Commander said,” These officers have been trained well for more than three months and we will dispatch them soon to different parts of the country”.
Well prepared officers know how to oppress Taliban and Daesh groups in the country and foil their operations and plans.
Gen. Habibullah Hessari, Commander of Army Staff trainings added,” The enemies are strongly planning to find a foothold for themselves to recruit insurgents and equip themselves, but they will fail”.
Hessari further pointed to recapture the Yamgan district of Badakhshan, the district which Taliban take over yesterday after 300 insurgents surrounded and attacked police checkpoints, but finally the security forces retreated after heavy clashes.
“We may clear the area very soon; fresh troops have been deployed to the area yesterday to start clearance operations.”
Taliban have increased group attacks across the country, but officials say that Afghan National Security Forces are well prepared to defend the country and conquer any battle.
