At least 60 people die across country due to snowfall and cold weather

According to initial reports from the Provincial Disaster Management Directorate, 60 people died, 34 people were injured, 1,645 houses were destroyed and 177,911 livestock were lost as a result of snowfall, rain and cold weather.

In cooperation with national and international institutions, this department has distributed food, non-food and cash aid to more than 22,415 families from 1st to 23rd of Hoot and the distribution process is ongoing for all the affected people throughout the country.

The management plan for dealing with and preventing possible risks of floods has been arranged in cooperation with national and international institutions and is being implemented, officials said.

A number of affected families say that they have not received any help, while they have lost all their possessions in the recent floods.
