CEO to represent Afghanistan at 70th Session of “NUGA” in New York
The Chief of Executive Officer (CEO), Abdullah Abdullah as representative of Afghanistan will attend the 70th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) set to open on Tuesday in New York.
President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani at the National Security Council Session noted that the Executive Officer will attend the NUGA summit.
As leader of the National Unity Government (NUG), the CEO, Abdullah Abdullah address the General Assembly at the General Debate on Tuesday 29 September, becoming the first NUG member of state ever to do so.
70th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) will continue for four hours and major issues of the country will be discussed in the conference.
President Ghani has also announced about the delegation’s return from Baghlan province who went to evaluate the security situation of the province.
This comes as Gulab Mangal, the minister of borders at the end of his visit to Baghlan province and in an interview with Ariananews has said that the Dand-e Ghori insecurity is as much that even threatens the North’s highway.
