Coordinated terror plot foiled in Nangarhar; 8 suspects detained

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) has thwarted a Taliban plot that wanted to launch a coordinated suicide attack in Nangarhar province.
The intelligence operatives said that 8 persons were arrested in connection with the terror plot in Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province.
According to NDS statement, 3 rifles including 2 Ak-47s, 2 pistols, 1 Improvised Explosive Device, 1 remote control, and 2 hand grenades were seized by the security forces that wanted to use in their suicide attack.
Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar, has seen the number of threats and attacks rise in recent months as the presence of ISIS has grown in the region.
