Families of victims of armed attack in Herat demand justice
The families of the victims of Friday’s armed attack in Herat have demanded the arrest of the perpetrators of the incident which left six people dead and two others injured.
At the meeting with the governor of Herat, the victims’ families demanded justice and security for all parts of the society.
Noor Ahmad Islamjar, the governor of Herat, said in this meeting that those who carry out such attacks are trying to create differences among religions.
Islamjar stated that there is no discrimination and prejudice among the different ethnic groups of the country and the security forces are trying to arrest such people.
On Friday, six people died and two others were injured as a result of unknown gunmen firing on people in the 13th district of Herat city.
Two religious scholars and two women are among the victims.
No group or individual has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
