First Vice President Dustom Injured in Faryab War: Abdullah

Afghanistan First Vice President Gen, Abdul Rahid Dustom was injured while was accompanying a convoy of the security forces on the way to Ghormach district that fell to Taliban control last week.

Gen, Dustom was ambushed in northern Faryab province of Afghanistan on Sunday by Taliban fighters.

Afghanistan chief executive Abdullah Abdullah has confirmed his injury saying now the Afghan security forces are gaining victory in Faryab province.

He said,” It was concluded that people have been friendly and cooperative to Afghan security forces in Faryab war, now the security condition is good, the first vice president Gen Abdul Rashid Dustom has been injured in war at Faryab and his health condition is satisfactory.”

Further the Chief executive Abdullah Abdullah during weekly Ministerial session urged that no neglects from the Afghan security officials at war is acceptable.

He said,” any poor acts and failure will be reviewed significantly in insecure province, the Afghan security forces who have fought bravely needs to be admired and those who neglected should be investigated.”

The insist of the chief executive on the neglecting of the security officials come after that no one of the security , local officials of Kunduz province was arrested or executed to save Kunduz falling into Taliban hands twice in two years.
