Gov’t alerted international citizens to walk with guards in Kabul city

National Unity Government has alerted all the International citizens who are living in Kabul city to walk with body guards, officials in Nai Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan stated that the following alert will limit the working space for the International correspondent’s disseminating information.

Nai demands the Government of Afghanistan to decide separately for the International correspondents.

Due to insecurity the Afghanistan Government has alerted all the International citizens not to walk without body guards in Kabul city.

Head of the Mass media watch at Nai Sediqullah Tauhidi said,” Ministry of Interior Affairs has sent a note to International NGOs and alerted that foreigners should walk in the city with body guards, this has limited the working space for the International correspondents, and Government should ensure security for them.”

He went on and mentioned that in the past one month two correspondents were killed, 4 of the correspondents were beaten, and 4 others were threatened.

Afghan journalists and correspondents have paid the prices but still despite of serious threats have continued to their duties.
