Minister of defense claims Afghanistan will claim ‘sovereignty of airspace soon’
The acting Minister of Defense Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid said Thursday just as there is terrestrial sovereignty, airspace sovereignty will be secured soon.
Addressing an “appreciation ceremony” for security forces, Yaqoob said that if anyone looks at Afghanistan with disrespect, the Islamic Emirate will respond using available means and will not accept anyone’s orders in this regard.
“Both internal and external enemies are trying to find a way to use it to disrupt security, but you (the security forces) with the help of God, have been able to prevent the enemies from achieving their evil intentions and they have been neutralized,” he said.
“We ask you to continue your duty with sincerity and honesty and these discriminations will end, it does not exist, but it should not occur in anyone’s mind,” he added.
“Twenty years of struggle that you and I fought with God’s help and succeeded, the main factor was obedience,” Mujahid stressed.
“The most important thing in the service we can do is to correct the intention. Our intentions and yours must be reformed. Our intention should be for the sake of God. Our intention is to serve this system, homeland and people,” he said.
