MoI warns admins of chat groups ‘to delete suspicious people’

The Interior Ministry on Tuesday warned administrators of social media and chat groups to delete “suspicious” people, who they claim are campaigning against the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF).
MoI spokesman, Tariq Arian said the ministry will notify the admins of WhatsApp and other newsgroups “to clear their newsgroups of suspicious and anonymous people, terrorists and murderers.”
He said it recently came to their attention “that a number of terrorists” going under the name of “Reporter” had joined news groups and were campaigning against the ANDSF.
He also said intelligence units and “operative teams” are working on the issue and that the administrators “of the groups are accountable to us”.
