NDS arrests Taliban’s shadow district governor with 7 companions in Nangarhar
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s Intelligence Agency has arrested Taliban’s shadow district governor with 7 companions in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
According to a statement released by the Afghan Spy Agency on Saturday, Wali who is also famous as Mansoor was appointed as the shadow district of Rodat district by the Taliban group.
The militants were involved in plotting and carrying out insurgency activities in Rodat district before they were arrested by the intelligence operatives, the statement added.
The intelligence operatives also confiscated a rocket launcher, 1 PK machine gun, 5 Ak-47 rifles, and 1 pistol from the detained militants.
The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the arrest of the group’s senior leader yet.
