NDS Thwarts Major Terror Plot in Kabul by Haqqani Network
National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency arrested the organizers of Shah Sahid, Kabul airport, Parliament and Macroryan 4 suicide attacks.
NDS has declared that these people that their number reaches to 30 are linked to Haqqani Network and Peshawar Council and were in an effort to organize and run another thirteen bloody attacks in Kabul.
Two months ago, Taliban attacked Parliament Building with suicide car bomb and RPGs on Monday 22 June.
Taliban militants detonated a truck packed with explosives in Shah Shaheed area of Kabul city on Friday morning August 7, which left dozens dead and wounded.
A suicide attacked rocked capital Kabul on Monday 10 August after a Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) was detonated near the main entrance gate of Hamid Karzai International Airport.
A relatively heavy explosion rocked Macroryan 4 of capital Kabul earlier Saturday evening July 21, after a suicide bomber targeted a vehicle of the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces.
National Directorate of Security has further added that the detainees have confessed to their crimes.
NDS noted that the terrorist group has also planned to attack to the presidential palace, the National Security Department, the Ministry of National Defense, America Embassy, Kabul security Command, the National Council and Khatemul Nabeyeen University.
According to statistics, the deadly suicide attacks in Shah Shahid, Kabul airport, Parliament and Macroryan 4 have left more than 700 killed and wounded that most of them were civilians.
