NSIA sends working teams to Iran to verify identity of Afghan refugees
Mohammad Halim Rafi, the spokesman for the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA), says to verify the identity of Afghan refugees in Iran, the authority’s working teams were dispatched on Thursday to the cities of Mashhad and Zahedan.
Rafi added in a video that after confirming the identities of Afghan migrants, these teams will distribute special three-year Afghan identity cards to them.
According to Rafi, with the issuance of these identity cards, migrants’ problems related to education, higher studies, and obtaining passports will be resolved, and Iran will also issue residency documents based on these cards.
