Officials: 89 Afghans released from prisons in Pakistan’s Sindh province

The Afghan Consulate in Karachi city of Pakistan has announced that 89 Afghan citizens, including six children, were released from the prisons of Sindh province on Thursday and transferred to their country.

The consulate wrote on X that 279 Afghans are still in Sindh prisons and efforts are underway to secure their release.

Meanwhile, Sayed Abdul Jabbar Takhari, the Consul General of Afghanistan in Karachi, said in a video that two Afghan girls named Madiha and Marwa have been living in Abdul Sattar Edhi orphanage in Karachi for 13 months.

He asked the guardians of the girls to visit the consulate and reunite with them.
