Projects worth 2 billion AFN signed with private sector
Three project agreements in the transport sector, worth about 2 billion afghanis (AFN), were signed on Wednesday between the Ministry of Transport and Aviation and the private sector.
The agreements were signed at a ceremony in Kabul in the presence of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the acting deputy prime minister for economic affairs.
Speaking at the event, Baradar said these projects were an important step in developing the transport sector.
He urged the companies involved to complete work on time and to adhere to standards set.
These projects are the construction of parking and passenger halls at Kabul Airport, Tir Park at Aqeena Port in Faryab province and Guzara Terminal in Herat province.
The total cost of the three projects is about 2 billion afghanis.
With the implementation of these projects thousands of people will be directly and indirectly employed.
