Senates React on New Afghan National Identity Draft

Scores of the members in the upper house of the parliament (Mishrano Jirga) have reacted over the new draft of the National electronic Identity Cards Tazkira.

They have stated that the new National electronic identity cards Tazkira should be issued based on the law, and issuing it with mentioned tribe and language is an additional issue.

Senator Zalmay Zabuli said,” We as members of the parliament reject the issuing of the new National electronic identity cards Tazkira with mentioned tribal names and language, We will also reject receiving two Tazkiras as the same time, none residents in the world has experienced receiving two National identity cards.”

“ We will inform the civil society members in our province to react against the following act, and it’s also a good news that the National Unity Government has yet to finalized the two Tazkira law, Government should hear our voice we don’t accept receiving the National electronic identity cards Tazkira without mentioning Afghan word Senator Shir Mohammad Akhundzada.”

In the initial step the National Unity Government has made a draft ready which allow Afghan citizens despite the National electronic identity cards one more paper which indicates more information about one person.
