Senators summon Breshna Power Company on Power Shortages
Upper house of the parliament has summoned head of the breshna power company on shortages of electricity in the capital city of Kabul as the residents complained.
Head of the bresh power company has confirmed the power problems in the country and assured that the imported electricity from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan to resolve some of the issues.
Mr. Samadi has also reported that there is a 3 $billion aids for infrastructure of electricity in Afghanistan allocated.
Senator Aziz Musleh said,”power shortages during winter season is increasing unfairly, in some parts the power goes off for 24 hours.”
There should be necessary measurements adopted for each winter season and let the people not to experience any shortages of electricity in the country specially the Kabul residents Gul Ahmad Azami said.
Abdul Razaq Samadi head of the bershna power company said,” because of Winter season and due to overloading and using of electricity we have no other alternative but to provide time to time electricity to the residents of Kabul, we will have CASA 1000 regional power agreement will be implemented and Afghanistan to benefit 300 mega watt electricity from it and we will also import electricity from Turkmenistan through Aqina port.”
The following efforts comes after that Kabul residents do experience electricity shortages during each winter season, despite of criticisms made still the people are facing the same problems for years.
