Top Afghan officials to visit Pakistan over Torkham disputes:MoFA
Officials in Ministry of Foreign Affairs have stated that top Afghan official will visit Pakistani officials over recent Torkham disputes where both sides lost dozen forces and joint border remained closed for several days for the traffics.
Earlier Pakistan Government had invited Minister of Foreign Affairs and Afghanistan National security adviser to discuss the following issues, but officials in CE office stated that a delegate who could deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will visit Pakistan soon.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Shekib Mustaghni said,” Afghan Government has decided to the delegate who visit Pakistan shouldn’t be more than Deputy Minister level, the delegates will include representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Interior affairs ,Defense Ministry and National security council.”
Meanwhile Deputy Spokesman of CE office Jawid Faisal said,” Afghanistan Government is an independent country, Officials within the Government decide who should visit Pakistan, Pakistan can’t determine who should come from Afghanistan for further discussion.”
Political expert Ahmad Saiedi said,” a delegate will go to Pakistan, what is important is the result of the session, it will not be clear if the result is in the favor of the Afghan Government, deploying lower rank officials to visit Pakistan doesn’t change the policy of that country towards Afghanistan.”
Its said that Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hekmat Khalil Karzai will lead the delegation, Afghan Government can’t wait to hear results out the session.
