World Children day held in Kabul
Officials in Ministry of Labor Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled who have attended the World Children Day have addressed different factors and barriers where Afghan children are made to face miserable life in Afghanistan such as compulsory marriage, misusing children for the terrorist objects, sexual harassment, and human trafficking.
Scores of children right protectors have accused the Government to secure the rights of children within the country.
World children day is marked in Kabul where thousands of Afghan children who are stranded and working in hard circumstances are suffering from their life.
Hameedullah who is 10 year old said,” I m in the 4 class, and I earn 20 Afghan per day.”
There are thousands of other Afghans kids who can’t have access to education as Hameed does in the entire country.
Rohullah said,” I can’t study I have lost my father, I have earn money for my family. I sell plastic bags to gain 50 Afghani per day.”
Meanwhile Sherzaman said,” I do esfandi and I earn some money to provide food for my family, my father is disabled.”
Minister of Labor Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled Nasrin Oriakhail said,” Afghan children are still doing hard work, there are different challenges within the society have caused the children to pay the prices, ignoring of laws, no budget, and poor coordination of Governmental and None Governmental NGOs have impacted on the life of children.”
Women and children rights advocators have accused the Government for poor attention.
Sonia Aslami said,” based on the information released by the United Nations indicating, that 7 out of 10 children are facing different violence in the world, the Afghan Government should pay attention for the life of children.”
World Children Day is marked annually, words are repeated but no significant action is taken to change the destination of Afghan children.
