$ 10 million reduce in 2015 Hajj expenses

The minster of Hajj and religious affairs said that Afghan Hajj pilgrims would be provided with better facilities and reduce in Hajj quota this year.

Faiz Muhammad Osmani, the minister of hajj noted that around $ 10 million have been saved for this year’s Hajj ceremony; 7 million for pilgrims travelling and 3 million for food and reserving rooms.

Osmani claimed that due to a widespread corruption in the ministry, Hajj expenses were costs expensive.

“A 13-member delegation has recently traveled to Saudi Arabia to talk about hotels, food, transport and other facilities for Afghan pilgrims with Saudi officials,” the minister of hajj, Faiz Muhammad Osmani . “Rooms have been rented near the sanctuary for nearly 24,000 Afghan pilgrims.”

In the previous years, every Hajj pilgrimage paid $ 2700 to perform Hajj but this year each pilgrim must pay 2450 dollars.

The pilgrimage of Hajj during the Islamic Month of Zhu al-Hijja (Arabic lunar month) is the fifth pillar of Islam.

At least once in a lifetime a Muslim who can afford has to make a religious journey to Saudi Arabia.
