Afghan policewomen obtain certificates after completing course in Turkey
Nearly 400 policewomen received their certificates after completion of a six month training program in Turkey.
Noorulhaq Ulomi, Minister of Interior (MoI) who was speaking at the session has vowed that he will struggle more to provide policewomen with more equipments and opportunities.
“This is our job how to provide facilities for you, one of the requirements is how to provide a good place for your practical stages after completion of trainings,” Ulomi said.
MoI has recruited about 3,000 women in police ranks after a lot of struggles, officials says the main cause of lack of women in police rank is existence of our historical culture which bans women to join in the military units.
Turkish minister who was also one of the participants at the session promised that his country will continue to support Afghanistan to make Afghanistan a peaceful country.
