Blast kills 33, wounds 43 at mosque in Kunduz
At least 33 people were killed when in an explosion went off at a mosque in Afghanistan’s northern Kunduz province on Friday, officials said.
Fourty-three others were wounded in the blast which happened in Imam Sahib district, said Zabiuhllah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA).
He said that the casualties were civilians and children were also among the dead.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
It comes a day after another mosque was hit by bombing in Mazar-e-Sharif city, killing and injuring dozens of people.
