The Chief of Executive Officer (CEO) says that the international assistance has hit a low level compared to the last years but the National Unity Government (NUG) tries to be accountable to consumption of aids.

CEO, Abdullah Abdullah declared that the NUG seeks to increase domestic incomes which the private sector has an important role regarding this issue.

Mr. Abudllah at the Afghanistan Economic Conference is said to consider the role of international aids essential for the development of the country.

According to CEO, currently there are more than 280 development projects which are underway throughout the country and people are playing there role to monitor these projects.

“We must prove that we use the international assistance in a better way and we must be accountable against them,” CEO, Abdullah said.

He stressed that the cabinet ministers 100 day plans have been implemented in a better way and these ministries should have regular programs for transparency and accountability.

“The second 100 day plans by ministers have been prepared and the ministers of finance, economic and commerce must have medium-term and long-term economic programs,” Abdullah added.

This comes as the National Unity Government has reported its one year performance in fight against corruption and the usage of international aids in Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) which the statements of NUG leaders have been satisfied.
