Dead body of Quran-burner found in Norway

The body of the man who burned the Holy Quran in Sweden has been recovered in Norway, and the Norwegian police have started an investigation.

According to a report in Aaj News, the Iraqi refugee Salwan Sabah Momika was found dead.

According to a message posted by Salwan Sabah on the social networking site X, the man left Sweden to seek protection from the Norwegian authorities and accused the Swedish government of not granting him asylum, according to the message, Momika said.

Earlier, Iraq had formally requested the Swedish government extradite Sylvan Momika, the accused person wanted in several cases including fraud, but the Swedish government did not act on Iraq’s request.
