Dozens of civilians killed in Kabul, Kunar explosions

A suicide bomber below his explosive vest at Ministry of Defense entrance gate late afternoon, killed 9 persons including military and civilians, and injured 13 others Police officials have confirmed.

Kabul police chief Gen, Abdul Rahman Rahimi said,” a suicide bomber below his explosive vest at the entrance gate of Ministry of Defense late afternoon killed 9 persons including 4 Women and 5 Afghan National Army forces and injured 13 others.”

An eyewitness Rahim Gul said,” It was 4 o’clock when the suicide bomber targeted the civilians and Afghan National Army forces.”

Kabul criminal investigative chief Friadon Ubaidi said,” Suicide bomber has targeted the civilians and innocent people.”

The attack in Kabul takes place after several hours that Kunar witnessed a massive explosion which killed dozens and injured several others.

Kunar Governor Waheedullah Kalimzai said,” A motor bike full of explosive has exploded close to the Park Shaheedan entrance gate at the vicinity of Kunar Governor Provincial palace, killed 11 civilians which includes Women and children and injured 40 others.”

Taliban have claimed the responsibility of the attack targeted MoD personnel in Kabul, but no groups have yet to claim the responsibility of the motorbike attack in Kunar province.

The two terrorist attacks has taken place that Afghan Government still hopeful to have direct talks with authorized Taliban representatives at the earliest of March 2016 in Islamabad .
