Electoral Nominees Finalized List to be Submitted to President Next Week
The Selecting Committee has started the interviewing process from electoral commissioner nominees as the contenders seek for transparency of this process.
“The interview process was transparent and we were able to do an interview without any ambiguity, said Naziya Shoja, a electoral commissioner nominee.
The Electoral Selecting Committee promises to submit the finalized list in the upcoming days.
“We will submit the finalized list of nominees up to the next week,” said Yousuf Rashid, member of the Selecting Committee.
But, former chairman of the Independent Election Commission believes that the government does not have any inclination for electoral reforms and holding election in the year ahead.
“The government leaders are busy with political bargaining and they do not have opportunity to solve these issues,” said Fazel Ahmad Manwai, former chairman of IEC.
This comes as Afghan residents have lost hopes for holding elections.
