Ghani asks Munich attendees to seriously continue supporting Afghanistan
President Ghani warned the international security conference attendees in Germany on Sunday that there will be consequences if Afghanistan is ignored.
Against his predecessor he thanked the NATO and the U.S. for their sacrifices in Afghanistan since the 2011 and called the current NATO Resolute Support mission vital for the future of Afghanistan.
He says that the same threats posed by the ISIL & Al-Qaida have roots in Afghanistan and there will be consequences if the international community takes its eyes off Afghanistan.
The President of Afghanistan also questioned the root of insurgent groups and said,” the key question is, who finances the conflict and who benefits from it?”
NATO-led coalition formally ended their combat mission in Afghanistan at the beginning of 2015 and opened the new Resolute Support mission to train, advice and support ANSF.
President Ghani left Kabul for Germany to attend the 51st round of Munich Security Conference accompanied by high governmental officials including the new appointed foreigner minister and the national security advisor of Afghanistan.
