Ghani Warns to Destroy Terror Networks This Year

President Ashraf Ghani in ‘Encouraging Youths’ campaign has called the current year a “consistent defense” year and warned to destroy all terror groups this year.

Ghani considers the current war an international war, saying Afghanistan is at the center of intentional attentions and will eliminate all threats by insurgent groups.

He noted that the energy of youths is reassuring for him.

“The year 94 was our survival battle, the enemies wanted to destroy the Afghan government, but they will be buried,” said President Ghani.

President Ghani is said to believe that Afghanistan is under the serious attention of the international community.

“Our war is international and we are in the first rank. This war is, truth over falsehood that we’re in the right,” President Ghani noted.

He once again emphasized on deep reforms in government institutions, citing the governmental institutions still suffering the lack of capacity.

“Afghanistan should reach stability, India has never assisted 1 billion dollars to any country and China has understood that the silk road is impossible without Afghanistan,” President added.

During the campaign, President Ghani also stressed on supporting Afghan youths.

“The reason that I focus on infrastructure programs is that we will change to an electricity exporter up to the next 5 years,” said Ghani.

Although 65 percent of Afghanistan’s population comprise youth, but it has been said that less attension was paid to them.

Lack of attention to young people caused most of them become drug addicts and in some cases even join with rebel groups.
