Gov. must use influential figures to provide security

A number of Parliament members on Wednesday said that the government should use the former commanders and influential figures to provide security.

Representatives in Parliament declared that forces of these figures in security forces ranks can be able to properly provide the security of their areas.

They are said to believe, there are many armed groups in most parts of the country that fight against the oppositions, therefore, it is better they set within the security forces.

“This is a fact that if theses irresponsible armed individuals recognize, they will be effective to fight against the oppositions beside the Afghan security forces,” Kamal Safi, representative of Kundoz said.

In the meantime, the interior ministry emphasized that security forces should be more strengthen and those who are eager can join the police ranks.

“This is one the programs of local police to provide facilities for those who are eager to join the police ranks, Najib Danish, deputy spokesman of interior ministry said.

But some are oppose that local individuals are the best option to provide the security of their own provinces.

This comes as the Islamic and Junbishe Mili parties have recently made an agreement and formed a coalition to jointly fight against the Taliban and Daesh groups.
