Gov’t Fails to Practice Implementation of Law Accessing Information: Afzali
Members at the Oversight Commission on accessing to information have declared that the Government has failed to practice the implementation of the law accessing to information, meaning that still the Governmental departments are still trying to avoid sharing information with the media and people.
Head of the following commission insisted that if the law right to accessing information doesn’t institutionalized, Government will not be a good accountable for providing good Governance.
Accessing to information is the right every single citizen of Afghanistan but almost all the Governmental departments trying to hide the information, amid the law to accessing information was approved two years ago.
Head of the Oversight Commission on accessing to information Sayed Ikram Afzali said,” the Government of Afghanistan has failed to practice the implementation of the law accessing information, almost all the Governmental departments aren’t willing to share information with media and people.”
Not implementing the law accessing information will create huge challenges for the good Governance.
“ One of the principles of the good Governance is being accountable, people have the rights to be aware of the Governmental officials decision over the country, this will encourage the Nation to be more cooperative and to trust the Government Head of the Oversight Commission on accessing to informationSayed Ikram Afzali said,”
Meanwhile the following commission has launched one month camping promotion of the culture of the accessing information demanding all the media to be cooperative to pave the way for institutionalization of the law accessing information.
