JCMB meeting stresses on systematic solution to insurgency

President Ashraf Ghani with his international allies at the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board (JCMB) meeting in Kabul discussed on finding a systematic solution for combating terrorism in the region.

The first speech of President Ghani was about insecurity of Afghanistan; Ghani considers the previous year, a survival year for Afghanistan.

“The armed Taliban group used seven steps to collapse the Afghan government but the government still stands. Our military launched operations in 15 positions and our Special Forces launch 5 to 7 operations in one night,” President Ashraf Ghani said.

Ghani noted that the world faces the fifth wave of security threats but there is no solution for fighting against terrorism in the region.

“We are against the fifth wave of security threats and nowhere in the world is immune from the threats of insurgent groups. We are targeted by Al-Qaeda, Daesh and the regional terrorist groups that threatens the region and the world,” noted Ghani.

He warned the world to find a systematic solution for combating terrorism.

“There are no proper laws in the neighboring countries. The regional countries still not learned that there is no good and bad terrorists and they do not have a mechanism to fight against terrorism in the region,” President Ghani added.

Ghani admitted the poverty is in rise in Afghanistan and the poverty rate increased from 46 % to 49 % in last year.

With the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan, nearly 40 percent of the country’s economic drawn out.

President said that Taliban is in a better level than the government in terms of trails but emphasized that the National Unity Government succeed to accelerate 75 % of the trails results.
