Journalist jailed for 4-years by Ghor local court

A local court in Ghor province has jailed a journalist for 4 years and imposed a fine of $ 45,000.
The sentence was awarded on Tuesday to a journalist who worked in local department of National TV.
Yasin Azhand, the reporter of National TV was convicted on charges of misappropriation of funds on National TV.
Yasin’s brother is said to consider the local court of Ghor has decided in favor of National TV’s head in Herat.
He urged the government to hold Azhand’s court in Kabul because Ghor’s local court is unfair.
Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan also expressed concern over the unfair court of this reporter.
Allovdin Muhammadi, head of National TV in Ghor province was also accused by Azhand of fraud for the misuse of money.
