MAIL Launches Program to Grow Agriculture Industry in Afghanistan
The program will build cotton production factory in Helmand province, one producing factory of string in Balkh, several cold storage and chicken forms in different part of the country.
Minister of Agriculture Irrigation and livestock Assadullah Zameer said, “We offer full package of investments for the private sectors and encourage them to join Government for growing the Agriculture industry in Afghanistan.”
Meanwhile President Advisor to Agriculture affairs Hamid Helmandi declared investing on private sector is vital for growing Agriculture industry.
He said, “It’s important to focus on growing Agriculture industry, and it’s also clear that Government cannot do by its own, unless the private sector join the Government on developing the Agriculture sector.”
The following program is financially funded and cooperated by the United Kingdom and Denmark Governments.
Deputy Development program of Britain Bell K. said, “ United Kingdom is committed to Afghanistan economic development and to support in growth of the vibrant of private sector, Agriculture is vital for the Afghan economy, counting for some 25 percent of GDP and more than 80 percent of the population relies on Agriculture and livelihoods.”
However the Deputy Minister of Agriculture irrigation and livestock Ahmad Shaheer Sharyaar said, “Most of the infrastructure projects are being designed by the Card-F investment program, which will be practically launched incoming 2017 through private sectors.”
Based on the estimation 55 private companies have invested 567 million Afghani on growing Agriculture industry in Afghanistan.
Officials in Ministry of Agriculture irrigation and livestock declared drawing the investors attentions to increase the domestic products, avoiding the none quality products and importing of the Agriculture products from abroad important for growing Agriculture industry of Afghanistan.
