Mine Blast in Ghazni Kills or Wounds Four Civilians

A civilian was killed and three others wounded in a planted mine blast in central Ghazni province, a local official said.

The provincial governor’s spokesman Mohamad Arif Noori told Ariana News on Saturday that the explosion took place in Police District 1, in Koch-e-Qasabi area of Ghazni City which left one civilian killed and three others wounded.

According to the official, the Taliban militants had planted the mine to target security forces.

The Taliban has not made a comment in this regard yet. 

Ghazni is among relatively restive provinces of Afghanistan where the Taliban insurgents are actively operating in its number of remote districts.
