MoD Voices Grief Concern over Escalation of War in Key Provinces of Afghanistan

Afghanistan Ministry of Defense (MoD) has expressed deep concern over the escalation of war in key provinces of Afghanistan.

According to analysts comments on war in Afghanistan, the internal and foreign troops are trying to find a solution for the ongoing war as a part of U.S. new plans in Afghanistan are recognizing the Afghan armed oppositions training centers, the complete elimination of ISIS and serious cooperation with Afghan forces in the battle grounds.

Taliban’s plans for Afghanistan in the current year has also revealed that some of them have been thwarted but there are the possibility of occurring other incidents as well.

“Connecting Baharak district of Badakhshan with Chertal of Pakistan, escalation of war in northern provinces, capturing most parts of Kandahar province, closure of Urozgan, Kandahar highway, closure of Baghlan-Kunduz highway are the main plans of Taliban in their “Mansouri” operation.

Spokesman of defense ministry, Dawlat Waziri said, “the armed oppositions have escalated the war and we know the war is ongoing in most parts of the country. It is a complicated war, we are hoping for peace.”

MoD has also effective plans against the Taliban plans and operations which are destroying parallel administrative in the ministry of defense, reviewing 30 to 40 percent of national army and double increasing the special force for the current war season.

The Ministry of Defense claims to defend most attacks of the Taliban group and stresses on increasing the troop level of U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

Afghan prisoner stabs inmate to death in Delhi

An Afghan prisoner in Delhi stabbed another prisoner to death on Friday after a dispute over food, the Times of India reported.

The deceased was identified as Deepak Soni, who was 29-year-old.

The killer has been identified as Abdul Basir Akhundzada who is 44 years old.

Abdul Basir Akhundzadeh had been arrested in connection with a case of attempted murder in Lajpet Nagar area of New Delhi in 2019.

Soni had been arrested in connection with the case of robbery and murder in 2018.

Afghan consul general in Mumbai Zakia Wardak resigns

Zakia Wardak, Afghanistan’s consul general in India’s Mumbai city, resigned on Saturday, following reports of gold smuggling.

The Times of India has reported that Wardak was caught at Mumbai airport with 25 kilograms of gold smuggled from Dubai.

While announcing her resignation, Wardak said on X that over the past year, she had encountered numerous personal attacks and defamation not only directed towards her but also towards her close family and extended relatives.

“These attacks, which appear to be organized, have severely impacted my ability to effectively operate in my role and have demonstrated the challenges faced by women in Afghan society who strive to modernize and bring positive change amidst ongoing propaganda campaigns,” she said.

Trans-Afghan railway project expected to be completed by end of 2027: Uzbek official

The Trans-Afghan railway project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev said.

“The project will help to connect three countries: Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The railroad will play an important role in the creation of the Eurasian Transport Corridor. As a result, Central Asian countries will have access to an Indian Ocean port,” he said during the III Tashkent International Investment Forum, Trend news agency reported.

The Uzbek deputy minister noted that the railroad will reduce the delivery time of goods from 35 to 5 days, and the cost of goods delivery will be reduced by at least 40 percent.

The Trans-Afghan railway project, first suggested by Uzbekistan in December 2018, proposes to extend the Afghan rail network from Mazar-e-Sharif to Kabul and then to Paktia province.
