Lawmakers criticized the government clearance operations in Kunduz and urged the unity leaders to reconsider the method of operations in the province.

“The situation is critical from the collapse of the city, fighting still continues in the streets, the people have been displaced to other provinces,” Shukria Paykan a representative in Afghan parliament from Kunduz said.

Reasoning that Dasht-e Archi and Chardara districts have been changed to terror training centers where terrorists are taken for treatment and the government needs to change its method of operations to clear these areas.

“We cannot stabilize Kunduz as long as we haven’t cleared Chardara and Dasht-e Archi districts from the existence of terrorists, because they have created bases in these areas with a lot of weapons and ammunitions,” Nazifa Zaki another lawmaker from Kabul stated,” what type of operation this is, we lose troops and weapons with no result”.

The House Speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi also addressed the President and the Chief Executive of Afghanistan, said: “You should reconsider operations for Kunduz, these operations are not sufficient for Kunduz situation, we cannot clear Kunduz from insurgents with these types of operations.”

A number of MPs accused President Ghani for negligence regarding the people of Kunduz and the situation in this province.

Balkh MP Abdul Rahman Rahmani said,” the people of Kunduz has told to the President that they are fighting with a lot of problems and even they cannot transfer their death bodies, the President has responded saying I will transform Kunduz to an industrial city with metro,” Rahmani exclaimed “why do you deceive people?”

Rahmani added, President Ghani has told as long as I’m the President, Stanekzai is the minister of defense and a number of “mobs” in the Lower House of Parliament have rejected my minister with a non-vote of confidence.

Then, Qudratullah Zaki lawmaker from Kunduz harshly attacked the National Unity Government (NUG) of Afghanistan and said,” the situation in Kunduz is shameful, the NUG is cheating the people that we control the city, since two weeks the people in Kunduz are asking for cooperation, but unfortunately the President and the Chief Executive have grabbed the chairs and they are not resigning”.

The criticisms comes after Taliban insurgents raided over the Kunduz city and seized the province about two weeks ago, since then a heavy fight is continuing between the state and the anti-government insurgents. Thousands of people have been displaced from their houses who now seeks asylum in neighboring provinces. Afghan Parliament asked all national and international organizations to provide displaced of war with the required aids.
